FAQ

If you ended up here you properly followed a link, because there is an answer to the question, I just don't like to repeat it several times. But I also understand that not everyone reads trough comments just to find an answer. So I decided to answer them properly here:

Why is there no All in One package of all my jewelry mods?

Creating a AIO itself wouldn't cost much time to create, but I'm constantly adding new items to the mix. The more items are in the mix, the more things have to be considered during the updating process. Making it more and more annoying on my end. During my Oblivion modding days I had one big AIO, and I noticed that, the more items I added, the less motivated I was in implementing something new.

Plus I sometimes take modding breaks, coming back after just to maintain a big junk of mod is not that motivating after all.

All I want to do is create models, and not mess around with all that maintaining stuff. And the best solution I found was to do it the way it is.

I also noticed some other benefits which I don't want to miss:

  • some people only like one or two items and don't want to install a big AIO, so I would create the small mods anyways,
  • some people don't use bodyslide, so having a AIO would exclude them because my amulets are only for bodyslide (mostly)
  • bug reports are more specific, and can be fixed with lesser effort
  • questions about a specific item are asked in the comment section of the mod, so I don't have to repeat myself, because people are more willing to scroll through 20 comments than through 2000

Why need some of my replacer mods an esp?

Some of my mods replace items that use shared models. To make the items unique I need to edit the items to use my new models. Otherwise, all items which use this particular model would be replaced.

Why SOS?

the male versions of the amulets are created for that body model, I got back plenty reports of users that it works without SOS just fine. Didn't test it myself, so use at your own risk.
